Cosplay Information – SuperHero Con
Cosplay is a huge part of the SuperHero Con experience. Whether you’re stepping into the shoes of a legendary hero, villain, anime icon, or original character, we welcome all levels of creativity and craftsmanship. This page outlines everything you need to know to enjoy cosplay safely, comfortably, and confidently at the event.
Costume Guidelines
We encourage full creativity, but all costumes must follow basic safety and public standards:
-
Costumes must be family-friendly (no explicit nudity or offensive content)
-
Shoes must be worn at all times
-
Costumes should not obstruct walkways or create hazards in crowded areas
-
Full face coverings are allowed, but you may be asked to briefly remove masks for security verification at entry points
Props & Weapons Policy
To ensure a safe environment for all attendees:
-
Prop weapons are allowed if clearly fake and non-functional
-
No metal blades, sharpened edges, or real weapon components
-
Firearms replicas must have an orange tip or be clearly marked as props
-
Oversized props may be subject to inspection at entry
-
Security reserves the right to deny any prop deemed unsafe
If you are unsure about a prop, it’s best to bring a safer alternative or contact the event team in advance.
